About Farmlisty™ Global AgriBusiness Supply Alliance

“Over three-quarters of the world’s poor live in rural areas and many of them depend on agriculture to make a living. More and better employment opportunities will need to be created for rural populations and youths in Agricultural communities. This will be essential for the fight against hunger and poverty and for creating more prosperous livelihoods for the population at large. Workers with insecure jobs and subject to hazardous working conditions tend to be less productive and risk their health, which may trap them and their families in poverty”,  The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)

According to FAO, decent employment is defined as work that provides a living income and reasonable working conditions. Work should be remunerative and dignified. It should enable people – whether through self-employment or wage labour – to provide for themselves and their families. Workers should be able to perform their work under safe and healthy conditions and have a voice in the workplace.

In accordance with FAO, Farmlisty™ Global AgriBusiness Supply Alliance supports communities to promote decent employment in agriculture and rural areas. The Farmlisty™ Global Alliance platform is powered by Equipplex & Associates LTD. Reg. 12290363, a UK entity providing Technology Solution to Industry. Farmlisty™ was inspired by the mission of The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and shares a similar agenda. Farmlisty™ is all about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the agricultural sector, with a focus on the developing world. Farmlisty™ provides a platform for a community of eco-friendly stakeholders: buyers & sellers in the global Agribusiness space that share in our ethos.

Farmlisty™ Certified Agricultural Extension Officer – FCAEO

Being central to our mission, we are empowering teams of local FCAEOs (farmlisty™ Certified Agricultural Extension Officers) to actively supports communities to promote decent employment in agriculture and rural areas. By fostering collaboration with local farmers and stakeholders in the Agribusiness value chain, farmlisty™ aims to improve productivity, profitability and sustainability. Farmlisty™ facilitates farmers and FCAEOs to find current information about data such as the retail prices of farm products, suppliers/manufacturers to buy their farm inputs directly at competitive prices and to gain access to premium markets and global partners.

In the current model, farmers in developing countries often have limited access to appropriate storage facilities, technology and supplies required to improve their Agricultural operations and sustainability. As a result of these setbacks, quantity and quality, market share and profitability is ultimately reduced. Farmlisty™ offers products and services from members of our global Alliance that directly address these limitations. In addition to the benefits above, as middlemen are not necessarily needed for farmers to meet buyers on farmlisty.com, local farmers can offer greater discounts and deals while still making significant profits.

Farmlisty™ places a high premium on transparency and quality assurance within the entire agricultural value chain, to checkmate disreputable activities and substandard products. Our online platform provides secure Ad pages for stakeholders with portfolios such as farm management software, agrochemicals, farm equipment, drones and machinery, fish farming, seed supply, livestock breeding, crop production (farming and contract farming / Labor hiring), Agricultural real estate and warehouse services, Agro-distribution and farm Vehicles, Agro-processing, Financial & escrow services, marketing and retail sales processes and more, see all categories.

AgriBusiness

Agribusiness is the business of agricultural production. The term was coined in 1957 by Goldberg and Davis. It includes agrichemicalsbreedingcrop production (farming and contract farming), distribution, farm machineryprocessing, and seed supply, as well as marketing and retail sales. All agents of the food and fibre value chain and those institutions that influence it are part of the agribusiness system.

Within the agriculture industry, “agribusiness” is used simply as a portmanteau of agriculture and business, referring to the range of activities and disciplines encompassed by modern food production. There are academic degrees in and departments of agribusiness, agribusiness trade associations, agribusiness publications, and so forth, worldwide.

In the context of agribusiness management in academia, each individual element of agriculture production and distribution may be described as agribusinesses. However, the term “agribusiness” most often emphasizes the “interdependence” of these various sectors within the production chain.

However, among critics of large-scale, industrialized, vertically integrated food production, the term agribusiness is used negatively, synonymous with corporate farming. As such, it is often contrasted with smaller family-owned farms.
